Yay! I got my dear EOS back from repair shop! It seams to work like a charm! And now even the backlight on the LED display works and the DOF preview button is not stuck any more! "All that and more for only one easy payment of 50 Euros!" :)
Anyway, I took it "into the battle" right away. A friend from Kiberpipa has just graduated with honors, and we had a small party at Kiberpipa. The shot above can write books ;).
With the second one I tried something called "selective desaturation" in post-processing in GIMP and it worked really good because of the distinctive color of the T-shirt's print. I do hate the noise that ISO 1600 gives me, though. :(
